Rabbi Dov was born in the Land of Israel to a family of pioneers who immigrated from Europe before the Holocaust.
He was educated in the Zionist Youth Movement and in Kibbutz Mishmar Hasharon.
Served as an IDF combat officer and fought in the Six Day War with the Jerusalem Brigade in the liberation of Jerusalem.
Rabbi Dov is a big lover of the outdoors in general and Eretz Yisrael in particular, and worked As a tour guide for the Environmental Protection Agency in Israel.
At age 23, he decided to begin studying Torah and deepen his connection to Judaism.
Studied at Merkaz Harav Yeshiva under the tutelage of Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook for 10 years and received Rabbinic Ordination.
After the Yom Kippur War, he established Machon Meir in order to teach and disseminate Judaism based on Love and Faith In the spirit of Rabbi Avraham Itzchak Hakohen Kook to Jews in Israel and from around the world.
